Description

At the lake is a decodable passage following a scope and sequence based on IMSLE. Ideally students would have previously been taught open and closed syllables, silent e syllable, digraphs, initial and final blends, and LSRASV ck.

This text uses some irregular words, and some words which may need support. This text comes in colour, and a printer friendly black and white version. This text comes with a four in a row game to practice vocabulary.

The passage and game hit the mark. Kids often get confused between ck and k. The game is a fun way to consolidate these spellings. Heather is so generous in sharing not only her knowledge, but also free resources like “At the Lake”.

      Hi Esme,

Thank you so much for your review! This has made my day and I am so glad you are getting enjoyment, plus being able to support your students to learn.

      Heather.
